1. Introduction
Please read these terms and conditions ("Terms") carefully before using or registering with the Yoga Teaching and Learning website at www.yogauk.com (“the Website”). These Terms relate to your Yoga Teaching and Learning Account (“Account”) at www.yogauk.com and use of Services (“Services”) on the website.
If you do not accept these Terms please do not use or register on the Yoga Teaching and Learning website at www.yogauk.com. If you visit or register or use any Services on the website “Services” you are agreeing to be bound by the Terms in this document.
The YogaUK Privacy Policy does not form part of these Terms but should be read in addition. Some parts of the Website may also contain stated additional provisions which apply in addition to these Terms.
These Terms apply to the entire contents of the website and to any correspondence by email between you and any employee, content providers, tutor, and anyone in the YogaUK team “YogaUK”.
2. Changes to this document
These Terms may change at any time. You can review the current version of the Terms of Service at any time via the link in the footer of the Website. The date of last modification is stated at the top of the document. It is recommended that you check the Terms of Service from time to time for any updates or changes that may impact you. You will be notified of major changes by email. If you continue to use the Website and its Services you will be bound by the latest Terms.
3. Account terms
If you are a subscriber or member of the Website, you agree to the following terms relating to your Account:
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You must provide your full legal name (excluding middle names), a valid email address, and any other information needed in order to complete the signup process.
- You are responsible for ensuring that your registration information is true, accurate and complete.
- You acknowledge that the Website will use the email address you provide as the primary method for communication. YogaUK will respect your privacy and GDPR regulations, as laid out in the YogaUK Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure. YogaUK cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to maintain the security of your Account and password.
- You are responsible for all activity and content such as videos, files, data, graphics, photos and links that are uploaded to your Account and/or downloaded to your devices.
- A breach or violation of any term in the Terms, as determined by the sole discretion of YogaUK, will result in an immediate termination of your Services and Account.
4. General conditions of use
The following general conditions apply to your use of the Services:
4.1 You agree to use the Website in a way that complies with all applicable laws and regulations and is consistent with these Terms.
4.2 You agree to use the Website in a way that does not infringe the rights of anyone else, nor restrict or inhibit their use and enjoyment of the Site (including hacking or trolling or abusive language or behaviour).
4.3 You are responsible for the conduct on your Account.
You must ensure that you do not:
4.4. use the Services for any illegal or unauthorised purpose nor may you, in your use of the Services, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws) as well as the laws of the United Kingdom;
4.5. let anyone else other than yourself as Account holder allow anyone else to access password protected areas of the Website, including access to courses or members’ areas or viewing or listening to course materials in the Website, nor resell, lease or sublicense or otherwise use the Services via your personal subscription, membership or course enrolment for the benefit of a third party, unless YogaUK has given you prior written authorisation;
4.6. reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Services, use of the Services, or access to the Services without our express written permission;
4.7. misuse the Services by interfering with their normal operation, or attempting to access them using a method other than through the interfaces and instructions we provide;
4.8 purchase search engine or other pay per click keywords (such as Google AdWords), or domain names that use YogaUK or trademarks and/or variations and misspellings thereof;
4.9. circumvent or attempt to circumvent any limitations imposed on your Account;
4.10 use the Services to collect or store or share any sensitive information (“Sensitive Information”) including personal health information, banking and credit card information, and if you do store or otherwise process any Sensitive Information you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws;
4.11. transmit any viruses, malware, or other types of malicious software, or links to such software, through the Services;
4.12. use the Services to infringe the Intellectual Property Rights of others, or to commit any unlawful activity;
4.13. attempt to circumvent any licence, timing or use restrictions that are built into the Services.
5. YogaUK Services
Questions about the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, or technical issues or reports of inappropriate behaviour as outline below, should be sent to [email protected].
Technical support is provided via email to Account owners relating to the operation of the Website. YogaUK cannot help with technical issues at your end.
We rely on external platforms for hosting, website operation, email, digital graphics and payment processing and are not responsible for any issues relating to services provided by these third parties. We will do everything we are able to to resolve any technical problems from our end to the best of our ability and as swiftly as possible.
We do not knowingly provide services or sell products to children. If you are below the age of 18, you may not use the Website or its Services.
YogaUK reserves the right to modify or terminate any Services for any reason, without notice at any time.
We reserve the right to refuse our Services to anyone for any reason at any time.
We reserve the right to remove any Content that is available via the Services, without notice at any time.
We may, but have no obligation to, remove Content or suspend an Account owner’s access to the Services if they share or otherwise make available Content containing material that we determine in our sole discretion are unlawful, offensive, threatening, libellous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate for the nature of the website, or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms and Conditions.
Verbal or written abuse of any kind (including threats of abuse or retribution) by an Account owner directed at any Website user, member, employee or officer will result in immediate account termination including the loss of membership and any course enrolments.
We reserve the right to provide our Services to anyone who has not contravened these Terms.
In the event of any disputes between users, or between a user and YogaUK, we reserve the right to request documentation and communicate by email with all parties and to use our discretion to resolve the situation in the fairest and kindest way we can in the circumstances. YogaUK reserves the right to temporarily disable an account if necessary until resolution has been determined between the disputing parties.
6. Intellectual property rights
6.1. You acknowledge that all copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights in our websites and all photographs, footage, designs, images, text, software, data and other material in our sites or generated by our sites are owned by us or our licensors. You are permitted to use the sites and this material only as expressly authorised by us.
6.2. You are permitted to download and print content from our websites for your personal non-commercial use and for private study and for the use stated on the Site for a download, provided in each case that:
6.2.1. Copyright and source indications are also printed and copied;
6.2.2. No modifications are made to the materials and they are not used as part of any other publication, unless specifically stated on the Site that a download can be modified or unless permission is expressly given;
6.2.3. Any document is printed and copied entirely and is not used in a derogatory or misleading context; and
6.2.4. The material is not used in a manner which may damage the reputation or otherwise be harmful to YogaUK or impair our ability to achieve our objectives of supporting our subscribers.
6.3. No other use of material on the Site may be made without first obtaining our written permission. In particular, you must not do the following unless you have first obtained our written permission:-
6.3.1. Incorporate any material from our sites in any other work or publication, whether in hard copy or electronic form; nor
6.3.2. Make any commercial use or publication of any material on our sites (other than as necessary for the purpose of viewing the sites and for study purposes on enrolled courses).
6.4. If you wish to use any material from the Site other than in accordance with point 6.2 above please email your request to [email protected].
6.5. The photographic, text and other graphic images within any products or publications supplied to you are copyright works and none of them may be copied, reproduced, licensed or otherwise exploited.
6.6. The YogaUK and Yoga Teaching and Learning names and logos are the copyright of YogaUK. No permission is given by us in respect of the use of any such trademarks, names or logos and such use may constitute an infringement of the holder's rights.
6.7. Any rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.
6.8. YogaUK never knowingly uses content that infringes copyright and only shares material that we believe in good faith not to infringe any copyright. We will remove immediately any content discovered to infringe copyright. If you believe that any content on the Yoga Teaching and Learning Site infringes any copyright, please notify us at [email protected].
7. Customer content
7.1. Any ideas, suggestions, concepts, processes, techniques, questions, answers, and other comments related to our services, site, proposed services, documentation or business (“Feedback”) that you provide to YogaUK will be owned by YogaUK and you hereby waive any claim you have to ownership, compensation, monetary or otherwise, for providing the Feedback and for YogaUK’s use of your Feedback.
7.2. We will not disclose your Confidential Information to third parties, except as required in the course of providing our Services. “Confidential Information” includes any materials or information provided by you to us which is not publicly known. Confidential Information does not include information that: (a) was in the public domain at the time we received it; (b) comes into the public domain after we received it through no fault of ours; (c) we received from someone other than you without breach of our or their confidentiality obligations; (d) we are required by law to disclose; or (e) that you have given your consent or instructed us to disclose.
7.3. If you remove content, delete your account or if these Terms of Service are terminated, we will be permitted to retain a copy, including archives, of your Confidential Information or any information that is related to your account (including Content and personal information) if such retention is necessary to meet our legal and compliance obligations.
8. Tutors and sponsors
We are not responsible for the accuracy of any advertising material or for any advertised product or service of a YogaUK tutor or sponsor.
YogaUK takes no responsibility for any work performed or advice given or opinions given by tutors or subscribers.
We are not responsible for any injuries sustained due to taking part in yoga practices via the Yoga Teaching and Learning Site. Subscribers are responsible for seeking advice from an experienced and qualified yoga teacher and doctor before following an online yoga practice or using practices taught.
9. Disclaimers
9.1. The information provided in the Yoga Teaching and Learning website is intended to provide general information only and, as such, should not be considered as a substitute for advice covering any specific situation. Whilst we fact check and curate all information and endeavour to ensure that the information on our website is correct, we do not warrant the accuracy and completeness of that information and we will not be held liable for any errors or omissions. We make no commitment to update out of date material on the website.
9.2. We take every reasonable care to ensure that all registrations and subsequent transactions are conducted via a secure link. However, the security of information and payments transmitted via the internet cannot be guaranteed as we are not responsible for the operation of the secure link. We will not, unless we are negligent, be liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party obtains unauthorised access to any information you provide.
9.3. We do not warrant that the functions contained in our sites will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that our sites or the servers that make them available are free of viruses or bugs or represent full functionality, accuracy or reliability of the materials. We will not be liable for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system or any other damages (including amongst other losses, loss of profit or loss of use) arising out of your use or delay or inability to use our sites, their content or any link to another website arising in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise.
10. Liability
10.1. We do not limit in any way our liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by our negligence or breach of statutory duty or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10.2. We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by us or our employees or agents in circumstances where:-
10.2.1. Loss or damage was not reasonably foreseeable to both you and us when you commenced using our site or when a contract for the supply of products by us to you was formed;
10.2.2. Loss or damage was not caused by any breach by us, our employees or agents; nor
10.2.3. Loss or damage relates to your business (including loss of profits, revenue, contracts, anticipated savings, data, goodwill or wasted expenditure).
10.3. You expressly understand and agree that YogaUK shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses resulting from the use of or inability to use the service.
10.4. In no event shall YogaUK or our suppliers be liable for lost profits or any special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with our Site, our Services or this Agreement (however arising, including negligence). You agree to indemnify and hold YogaUK and tutors, officers, directors, agents and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of this Agreement or the documents it incorporates by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
10.5 Your use of the Services is at your sole risk. The Services is provided on an ”as is“ and ”as available“ basis without any warranty or condition, express, implied or statutory.
10.6. YogaUK does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
10.7. YogaUK does not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the Services will be accurate or reliable.
10.8 YogaUK does not warrant that the quality of any products, Services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you through the Services will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Services will be corrected.
10.9. In no event will YogaUK aggregate liability for all claims of any kind, including any claims arising out of or related to this Agreement, whether by statute, contract, tort, or under any other theory of liability, exceed the fees paid by you for the YogaUK services during the one month period immediately preceding the date on which the cause of action arose.
11. Waiver and complete agreement
The failure of YogaUK to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
The Terms and Conditions document constitutes the entire agreement between you and YogaUK and governs your use of the Services.
These Terms and Conditions constitute the agreement that applies to you.
12. Links
The Website contains links to third party websites. We have no control over these websites and are not responsible for their contents or change of content.
The inclusion of external links does not imply any endorsement of the material on those websites nor any association with their operators.
If you decide to access any of the third party websites linked to or from our websites, you do so entirely at your own risk and we are not responsible for any damage, loss or offence caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the content, information, advertising, services or products available on third party websites. We cannot guarantee that these links will work all the time and we have no control over the availability of the linked pages.

If you wish to link from your website to any pages of our Site you may do so only on the basis that you link to, but do not replicate or alter, the website page, or imply any endorsement by YogaUK of any products or services, or other misrepresentations or false information.

13.2. If you would like to: access, correct, amend or delete any personal information we have about you, register a complaint, or simply would like more information, contact YogaUK at [email protected] or by mail at Suite 2486, Unit 3A, 34-35 Hatton Garden, Holborn, London EC1N 8DX, UK.
14. Payment of fees
14.1. Course or membership fees are paid online using a valid credit or debit card.
14.2. Enrolment to free courses or using a 100% coupon does not require you to input any credit or debit card details.
14.3. For paid plans, Services will be billed when instalments are due. When your billing period is over, you will be sent a receipt via the email provided in your Account.
14.4. Account owners are responsible for monitoring your transactions and ensuring that our invoices and your payment is correct. You must notify YogaUK of any discrepancies or errors in their invoices within two weeks of your receipt of an invoice.
14.5. Courses have a no quibble full refund policy if requested within 14 days of course enrolment. No refunds are available after the 14 day period.
14.6. No refund is available for membership fees.
14.7. We may delay settlement if we need to conduct an investigation or resolve any suspicious activity or pending dispute related to any transaction or your account, for the entire time it takes for us to do so.
14.8 Where lifetime access to a course is offered, this refers to the lifetime of the course, ie. as long as the course remains available at yogauk.com. Ownership of access is exclusively for the Account holder. Courses may be modified over time, and this does not affect lifetime access.
15. Cancellation and termination
15.1. You may cancel your whole Account or enrolment on a course at any time by emailing [email protected] and then following the specific instructions indicated to you in YogaUK’s response.
15.2. We reserve the right to modify or terminate Services for any reason, without notice at any time. In cases of fraud or previous breach of these Terms and Conditions, YogaUK may prevent you from creating an account or suspend or terminate any account that you create if we suspect that you have engaged in fraudulent activity in connection with the Services.
16. Modifications to the services and prices
Prices for using Yoga Teaching and Learning services are subject to change.
YogaUK reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Services (or any part thereof) with or without notice.
YogaUK will not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Services.
Lifetime enrolment to a course means the lifetime of the course, until it is removed or no longer accessible online. Plans to remove the course will be shared with enrolled subscribers by email with at least 30 days’ notice, unless the course or Site are inaccessible due to a third party.
